SAFARI VEZO

Il villaggio in capo al mondo, potrebbe venir definito questo avamposto della civiltà, che offre 15 semplici, confortevoli bungalows con bagno privato, di tipologie diverse, sulla magnifica spiaggia di Anakao.
La luce elettrica viene distribuita da un generatore in funzione dal tramonto fino a dopo cena, quindi si accendono le lampade a petrolio in dotazione in ogni bungalow.
Acqua corrente per le toilettes mentre per doccia e lavandino si usano le brocche, come una volta, infatti l'acqua dolce viene cercata dai piroghieri Vezo al fiume Onilahy e distribuita nei bungalow la mattina in secchi che è consigliabile lasciare al sole durante la giornata per poter disporre di acqua calda la sera.
Il complesso, inserito in un magnifico giardino di piante endemiche della regione, dispone di bar e ristorante sul mare che propone un ricco menù a base di pesce freschissimo e crostacei, carne e verdure.
I trasferimenti da e per Toliary, che durano circa 1 ora, si effettuano via mare, sempre di mattina, con barche a motore equipaggiate con salvagenti e radio per permettere le comunicazioni con Toliary e Anakao, solcando le acque limpide della bellissima barriera corallina, lungo la costa ove sorgono i caratteristici villaggi Vezo con le colorate piroghe a bilanciere.

15 simple but comfortable bungalows, of various types, on the magnificent beach at Anakao.
There is no electricity or running water (except for WC); it feels like you have gone back into time.
Electricity is distributed by a generator which functions from sunset for few hours, then oil lanterns, which are in every bungalow, are turned on.
There is running water only for the toilets.The Vezo pirogue sailors look for fresh water at the source, originated by the Onilahy river. This clean water is distributed to the bungalows in the morning in buckets which we suggest you leave out in the sun during the day to have hot water in the evening, specially in winter time (June to September); in fact the bungalows have a bath where you can wash and take shower using jugs. The resort, in a magnificent garden of plants which are endemic to the region, has a bar and restaurant on the beach which serves a varied menu based on very fresh fish and crustaceans, meat and vegetables.
Transfers to and from Toliary, which take about 1 hour, are scheduled always in the morning, with motor powered boats equipped with life-savers and radio to allow communication between Toliary and Anakao, sailing in the clear waters of the beautiful coral reef, along the coast where the local Vezo villages rise up with the coloured pirogues.
